TGP Had a Very Successful Garden Tour

My photo images and impression of the unique lawn articles in each of the seven resident gardens which I visited Saturday July 14th.

Every three years the Tolland Garden Paths Club hosts a Garden Tour to raise money for local charities and Nature projects. This year the tour is to help fund their latest endeavor the Youth Garden of Tolland which in its first year has become a success and will only expand in the future as people become involved.

The Tolland Garden Paths began in 2001 as a small group of Tolland residents who loved gardening and sharing fun and knowledge with each other. In 2003, the club became a qualified non-profit organization and a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut. Tolland Garden Paths has continued to grow each year but maintains the same informal, friendly local atmosphere of friendship.

TGP members come from different backgrounds and ages but they all share a passion for gardening, learning, and having fun with each other. They are a relaxed club without a lot of rules and regulations. Their meetings are once a month, alternating between Saturday mornings and weekday evenings to accommodate members' schedules. When they hold their meeting at a members' home, they might have a private garden tour of that members' gardens. They welcome residents of Tolland and surrounding communities to join the Tolland Garden Paths Club.

Last Saturday July 14th was a beautiful day and the TGP Garden Tour was an overwhelming success.  I visted each garden and have uploaded two videos of my impression of the hard work and enjoyment of gardening each person put into their property.  The first video is a sampling of each of the gardens and the second is flowers in bloom even during this dry warm spell we are experiencing.

Enjoy this years Garden Tour and look for my Photography class announcement begining this fall when you will learn all about your camera's operational features while photographing Nature in all its glory!
