Accident on I-84 Delays Traffic on Sunday Evening

Tolland Fire Department personnel responded to the one-car accident, which caused delays for several hours.

Tolland emergency responders assisted at a car accident on I-84 westbound between exits 67 and 68 on Sunday evening, which delayed traffic for several hours, according to Tolland Fire Department Public Information Officer Seale Tuttle.

Tuttle said that the driver of a pick up truck with an attached trailer lost control of the vehicle and flipped over around 6:30 p.m. According to Fire Chief and Public Safety Supervisor John Littell the collision knocked over the highway's jersey barriers, requiring the state DOT to bring a pay loader to correct them.

Tuttle added that all occupants of the vehicle refused medical treatment.
