As Blizzard Arrives, Tolland Opens Emergency Operations Center
Town Manager Steven Werbner asks that residents stay off the roads.
Press Release from Emergency Management Department:
At 11:45 this morning, Governor Malloy signed a Declaration of Civil Preparedness Emergency for Storm Nemo. The Governor has restricted travel on state highways to emergency vehicle traffic only. Town Manager Steven Werbner is requesting that residents stay home until the storm is over and the roads are cleared by Public Works.
The Tolland Emergency Operations Center has been activated as of 1:00 p.m. today and will be staffed for the duration of the storm.

Reminder, there is a parking ban in effect for the duration of the storm. Any vehicles left on public roadways will be removed by tow truck at the owner’s expense.
Residents and businesses with fire hydrants on their property are reminded that under town ordinance it is the property owner’s responsibility to ensure the hydrant is clear and accessible within a reasonable time after the storm.
