Juvenile Charged After Tolland High Bomb Threat

A 16-year-old is facing a count of second-degree breach of peace and a count of first-degree threatening.

Police charged a 16-year-old juvenile with second-degree breach of peace and first-degree threatening after investigating a bomb threat at Tolland High School on Tuesday.

According to the press release, a THS student found a handwritten, time-specific bomb threat written on the wall of a male bathroom in the school Tuesday morning.

Following the school's emergency plan, the school was placed into lock-in while police searched the building, finding nothing. After further investigation into the incident, the juvenile confessed to making the threat, the release said.

Based on the information from the investigation, the school was not evacuated.
