Updated: Monday, April 15, 11 a.m.

Troop C has released the accident report regarding the April 5 crash on Rhodes Road.

According to the release, Tolland resident Michael Lane was driving the car around a sharp curve above the posted speed limit of 30 mph when he struck the CL&P utility pole.

Lane was not injured, but his two passengers, both minors, were transported to hospitals for medical care, the release said.

The car was towed, due to damage, police said.

Staff at Troop C told Tolland Patch that the sergeant on duty had not yet authorized the accident release, causing the delay.

Original Story:

LifeStar transported a car accident victim for treatment from Tolland Friday evening, after a car crashed into a pole on Rhodes Road, Public Safety Director and Fire Chief John Littell reports.

According to Littell, three people were involved in the accident, which occurred around 9:30 p.m. Another victim was taken to Rockville Hospital, and the third refused transportation, Littell said.

Rhodes Road was closed down after the crash while CL&P replaced the utility pole, Littell said.

Tolland Patch went to Troop C to obtain an accident report, but the release was not available.
