Monday's multi-vehicle crash on I-84 westbound was actually the result of two separate collisions, according to Troop C press releases.

In the first release, police said that Massachusetts resident Christine Marold rear-ended the car in front of her, which had slowed down due to intense sun glare. Marold said that the sun glare prevented her from seeing the car in front of her slow down, according to the release.
