Official: Crash on I-84 Sends Four to the Hospital

The crash took place at about 6 p.m.

A "major accident" shut down two lanes of Interstate-84 on Sunday evening, according to Tolland Public Safety Director John Littell. 

The crash, which involved a pickup truck and camper in tow, took place at about 6 p.m. on the westbound side of the highway just before exit 67 in Tolland near the Vernon line, Littell said. 

Life Star helicopter was called to the scene and and transported a patient to Hartford Hospital. Three other passengers were transported to Hartford Hospital by ambulance, Littell said.

Two lanes of the highway were shut down for several hours, he said.
