School Bus Closes Two Lanes on I-84 in Tolland

A Willington school bus closed two lanes for two hours Thursday evening on I-84 eastbound, according to Tolland Fire Chief and Public Safety Director John Littell.

Littell said that the bus was several hundred yards over the highway embankment when the Tolland Fire Department and state police arrived on scene around 5 p.m. No children were on the bus at the time.

The driver was taken to Rockville General Hospital, according to Littell. Two lanes of the highway were closed while the bus was removed from the woods.
