State Trooper Report: Drug Arrests at THS

In response to reader requests, Tolland Patch asked the Tolland Resident State Trooper Office for arrest information at Tolland High School starting during the 2011-2012 school year.

The Tolland Resident State Trooper Office has provided Tolland Patch with arrest reports from Tolland High School, spanning from the 2011-2012 school year to the present.

The information, particularly the number of drug arrests, was requested by Tolland Patch readers. No names are being released as a part of this report.

Drug Arrests: 8 Total

  • Oct. 12, 2011; Charges: weapons offenses, possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Dec. 14, 2011; Charges: possession of controlled substance
  • Dec. 20, 2011; Charges: possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia
  • March 19, 2012; Charges: possession of marijuana
  • March 20, 2012; Charges: possession of marijuana, sale/distribution (2 arrests made)
  • May 2, 2012; Charges: possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Aug. 28, 2012; Charges: possession of marijuana

Assault Arrests: 4 Total

  • April 27, 2012; Charges: assault, breach of peace
  • June 7, 2012; Charges: assault, breach of peace
  • October 16, 2012; Charges: assault, disorderly conduct (2 arrests)

Traffic Incidents

  • Nov. 9, 2011; Infraction: failure to grant right of way
  • Jan. 23, 2012; Infraction: stop sign violation

Larceny Arrests: 1 Total

  • Aug. 22, 2011; Charges: larceny, theft of money

Bomb Threats/Miscellaneous: 2 Total Arrests

  • Sept. 14, 2011; sending inappropriate pictures; suspension
  • Dec. 5, 2011; suspicious incident, writing on bathroom wall; suspension
  • June 7, 2011; suspicious incident, bomb threat; suspension
  • June 18, 2011; misuse of computer, breach/harrassment; one arrest
  • Aug. 30, 2012; suspicious incident, writing on back wall
  • Sept. 13, 2012; suspicious incident, bomb threat; suspension
  • Sept. 24, 2012; suspicious incident, bomb threat; one arrest

Why are there only suspensions for some of the bomb threat incidents and only one arrest? There should be arrests for ALL of them and the individual should be reimbursing the state for the time spent searching the school for the alleged bomb!

some good for nothing attorney would claim he /she was only exercising his/her creative side!!

Time to stop blaming the teachers and administrators! Parents need to take responsibility for their children.
