TFD Offering Car Seat Inspections on Friday
The service will be available at the Merrow Road station.
The Tolland Fire Department will be offering free child safety seat inspections from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the fire station at 191 Merrow Road in Tolland.
Trained TFD volunteers and representatives of the national organization Safe Kids will offer the free on-site inspections, local fire officials said.
The fire station is on Merrow Road at the Rhodes Road intersection, next to the Tolland Fire Training Center.
The inspection process generally takes less than 30 minutes, officials said.
Residents should bring the child who uses the seat with them to the inspection, officials said.
