Updated: THS Evacuated on Wednesday After Bomb Note Found

Students and Staff remained on campus.

A bomb threat has forced public safety officials to stage a precautionary evacuation at Tolland High School late this morning.

Assistant Public Safety Director Douglas Racicot said it was a written note.

He stressed that the evacuation - moving students and staff members out of the building but still on campus - was precautionary while authorities investigated.

At 11:45, he said he could not guess if the bus schedule would be affected.

At 12:09, Racicot said the threat was "unfounded" and students and staff members returned to the building.
