Tolland Firefighters Battle Massachusetts Brush Fire

Emergency crews from Tolland and surrounding towns responded to a brush fire in Brimfield, MA on Wednesday.

Tolland emergency crews assisted firefighters in Brimfield, MA after a brush fire ignited on Wednesday.

Tolland Fire Chief and Public Safety Director John Littell said that crews from Tolland, Ashford, Ellington, Bolton, Willington, Crystal Lake, Somers, West Stafford, Broad Brook, Staffordville and Union all responded to Brimfield.

According to Boston.com, the Brimfield fire consumed around 50 acres of private land. Debris left over from last year's tornado fed the fire, according to the article.
