Tolland Police Blotter: Feb. 2 - Feb. 7

The following arrest and other police activity reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of February 7, 2013. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

February 2

Eric R. Sentochnik, 20, of 90 Bald Hill Rd. in Tolland, was arrested after troopers conducted a traffic stop on Tolland Green for an observed motor vehicle violation occurring at the intersection of Bald Hill Road with Old Stafford Road. During the course of this vehicle stop, probable cause was developed as to the operator’s impairment. Sentochnik was subjected to an on-sight, in-custody arrest. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to obey stop sign, and failure to carry license. Sentochnik was later released from custody on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Rockville Superior Court on February 26.

February 6

A 48-year-old Tolland man was traveling north on Derek Drive when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed over the southbound lane, exited the roadway off the left shoulder, and went down a slight embankment where it struck a small tree. The man was found at fault and issued a written warning for failure to drive right.

February 7

James Levasseur, 30, of 53 Ward St. Apt. 3 in Vernon, was transported from New Haven Correctional Center so that an active arrest warrant could be served. He was placed under arrest on an active arrest warrant issued by Rockville Superior court for fourth-degree larceny for an incident on Industrial Park Road in Tolland. Levasseur was processed and held on a $5,000 bond set by the court. He was then turned back over to the state marshals to be presented to the court.  

Jessie Almond Mote, 22, of 51 Meadow Brook Cir. Apt. 125 in Ellington, was arrested after investigation of the theft of money from an employee of Subway located at 70 Merrow Rd. in Tolland led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Mote. He voluntarily turned himself in at Troop C. Mote was charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Kathleen Fay, 23, of 17 Meadowood Rd. in Tolland, was arrested after a trooper conducting a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Route 195 and Goose Lane observed suspected marijuana and seeds on the driver’s seat. Further investigation revealed the passenger, Fay, to be in possession of six individually wrapped bags of suspected heroin and an unused syringe. She was placed under arrest for possession of controlled substances/narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. Fay is scheduled to appear at Rockville Superior on February 19.
