Tolland Police Blotter: Feb. 22 - Feb. 28

The following arrest and other police activity reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of March 1, 2013. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

Feb. 21

Jason Gianatti, 25, of 101 Matthews St. in Southington, was arrested when during an investigation of a motor vehicle accident, he was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. He was subjected to a series of field sobriety tests that he failed, at which time he was arrested. Gianatti was transported to Troop C where he was processed according to state police policy and released. He was charged with reckless driving, evading responsibility, and operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol.

Krista L. Sharp, 39 of 1125 Sullivan Ave. in South Windsor, was observed traveling erratically on Route 195 north, in the area of Anthony Road, in Tolland. She was subsequently determined to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was placed under arrest. Sharp was also discovered to be in possession of an oxycodone pill outside of its original container. She was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, failure to keep proper lane, and failure to keep narcotics only in original container.

Feb. 28

A 16-year-old Tolland woman was traveling east on New Road when she turned left (south) on to Pine Hill Road. Upon turning on to Pine Hill Road, she drifted towards the southbound shoulder whereas her right side tires went off the roadway into the snow. The vehicle continued with its forward movement whereas it then made contact with a utility pole. No injuries and minor to moderate damage were reported.
