February 26

Police responded to a two-car accident on Route 195 after a driver tried to make a left turn and was struck by another vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a one-car accident on Gottier Road after Vernon resident Robert Fuller lost control of his car, which flipped onto its roof, according to police. Fuller had no injuries, and the car was towed. Fuller was issued an infraction for driving at a speed too fast for the conditions, police report.

Theresa Nisbet, 27, of 57 East Street in Vernon was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and failure to drive right after being stopped on Walbridge Hill Road in Tolland, police report.

A Tolland resident was involved in a two-car accident on Route 195. Police report that a Michigan driver slowed down for traffic when Tolland resident Suzanne Ali struck the car. No injuries were reported. Ali was issued an infraction for following too close, according to police.

Jennifer Daleb, 25, of 151 Peter Green in Tolland, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and improper parking, police report.

February 28

Police responded to a two-car accident on Route 195 after one car rear-ended another. No injuries were reported.

February 29

Police responded to a five-car accident on Route 30 after Niantic resident
Doreen Thibadeau lost control of her car, causing a series of crashes, police report. Several people were sent to Rockville Hospital for minor injuries. Thibadeau was issued an infraction for traveling too fast for the conditions, according to police. 

Police responded to a one-car accident on I-84 after Rhode Island resident Jamie Mey lost control of her car due to the icy conditions and hit the concrete median barrier, police report. No injuries were reported. Mey was issued a written warning for traveling too fast for the conditions, according to police.

Police responded to a one-car accident on I-84 after Florida resident Caitlin Aldrich lost control of her car in the icy conditions and hit the concrete median barrier, police report. No injuries were reported. Aldrich was issued a written warning for traveling too fast for the conditions, according to police.

Police responded to a one-car accident on I-84 near Exit 69 after New Jersey resident Kendell Grant lost control of his car while changing lanes on the snowy road and hit the wire rope guardrail, police report. No injuries were reported, and Grant was issued an infraction for traveling too fast for the conditions, according to police.

Tolland resident Wendy Bombard was involved in a one-car accident on Route 74 after spinning out on the snow-covered roadway and striking a utility pole, police report. Bombard was taken to Rockville Hospital for minor injuries, and the car was towed. Bombard was issued an infraction for traveling too fast for the conditions, according to police.

Ryan Watson, 23, of 96 Avebury Lane in Tolland was arrested on an active warrant for burglary and larceny, according to police. The warrant was linked to an incident that occurred on Jan. 10, 2012, police report. 

Nicolas Smith, 18, of 139 Grant Hill Road in Tolland was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and sixth-degree larceny: theft from building, police report. Smith was arrested after a pastor from the reported that two people had broken into the church, according to police.

Piotr Wnuk, 20, of 19 Fiddlehead Drive in Tolland was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree larceny, police report. Wnuk was arrested after a pastor from the First Baptist Church reported that two people had broken into the church, according to police.

Police responded to a one-car accident on I-84 near Exit 68 after a car spun out of control and hit the wire rope guard rail off of the right shoulder. No injuries were reported.

March 1

Police responded to a two-car accident on I-84 near Exit 69. Two cars collided after a driver attempted to change lanes in the slushy conditions. Manchester resident Ryszard Pryputniewicz was issued an infraction for traveling too fast for the conditions, police report. No injuries were reported.
