Tolland Police Blotter: Feb. 3 - 10

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of February 10, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

February 3

Police responded to a two-car accident after a car rear-ended another vehicle while on the I-84 Exit 68 off ramp. No injuries were reported.

February 4

Tolland resident Alan J. Silvestri was hit by a car while crossing Route 195 near Goose Lane, police report. The vehicle was pulling out of the 7-11 when it struck him, according to police. Silvestri described the car as a newer model, red Cadillac. Silvestri refused medical attention, police report.

Police responded to a two-car accident on I-84 in Tolland after a dark-colored, four-door sedan struck a car traveling on the highway in Tolland, according to police. The sedan evaded the scene, taking Exit 69 and traveling east on Route 74, police report. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a one-car accident on Mile Hill Road after Coventry resident Bruce M. Michaud traveled off the road, hitting two trees, police report. No injuries were reported, and Michaud's car was towed from the scene. Michaud was issued a written warning for a restricted turn, police report.

Police responded to a two-car accident at the intersection of Route 74 and Route 195. Willington resident Nathan York was stopped on Route 195 and attempted to pull onto Route 74 when his car was struck by a Tolland minor, according to police. Both vehicles had minor damage. York was issued an infraction for failure to give right of way at an intersection, according to police.

February 8

Police responded to a two-car accident at the intersection of Route 74 and Route 30. Stafford Springs resident Jesus Rodriguez was stopped behind another vehicle at a traffic signal and struck the car in front of him when the traffic light turned green, according to police. No injuries were reported. Rodriguez was found at fault for unsafe movement of a stopped vehicle, police report.

February 9

Benjamin M. Dominguez, 37, of 40 Williams Way, was charged with risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct, according to police. Bond was set at $5,000, police report.
