Tolland Police Blotter: Jan. 6 - 13

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of January 13, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

January 6

An attendant at Tolland Citgo reported that money was missing prior to closing on Jan. 6, police report. The attendant said he thought someone may have entered the store and took the money when he went outside for a short period of time, according to police reports. The case is under investigation.

January 8

Lucas S. Halgren, 19, of 82 Rolling Meadow Dr. in Tolland was charged with operation of a motor vehicle when registration or license is suspended, operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, crowded front seat/rider outside seat, failure to have lights lit and devices illuminated, any person who possesses or has under his control less than one-half ounce of a cannabis-type substance, and CT P.A. 11-71 3d, according to police. Police report that Halgren was stopped on Tolland Turnpike in Coventry and subjected to field sobriety tests.

January 10

Police responded to a two-car accident on Route 195 after a car collided into another vehicle turning left into the Sunoco gas station, according to police. Police report that Tolland Fire Department and Tolland Ambulance both responded.

January 11

A Tolland resident was involved in a two-car accident in Mansfield. Police report that Sueann Furlong of Tolland was stopped at a traffic signal on North Frontage road when Windham resident Candice Allard rear-ended Furlong's vehicle. Police report that Allard evaded the scene and that Furlong followed the car to Willimantic, where both cars were stopped. No injuries were reported.
