Tolland Police Blotter: July 26 - August 2

July 26

Jasper Toth, 23, of 79 Tolland Stage Road in Tolland, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, according to police. Police report that he surrendered himself at Troop C on an active warrant.

Police responded to a one-car accident on the I-84 exit 69 off ramp after an Ashford resident veered off the road and hit a highway sign and metal guardrail, police said. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a two-car accident in Ellington involving two Tolland residents. Police report that Ellington resident Dilip Nair was traveling on Route 83 when Tolland resident Everett Skinner III, traveling with Sherry Skinner, tried to cross Route 83 to Lower Butcher Road and collided with Nair. No injuries were reported, although Nair's car was towed from the scene, police said.

July 29

Police responded to a one-car accident involving a Tolland minor on Ellington Road after the driver lost control of the car and left the roadway, hitting a tree off the left shoulder, police report. Tolland Fire Department personnel took the driver to Hartford Hospital for minor lacerations, police said. The minor was issued an infraction for failure to drive right and operating without a license, according to police.

July 30

Police responded to a involving Tolland resident Donald Spielman, according to police. Spielman hit a tree early Monday morning, police said.
