Tolland Police Blotter: March 18-24

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of March 24, 2011. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

March 18

While investigating a motor vehicle accident state police discovered that one of the men involved was wanted by Newark, DE., police on theft charges. Robert M. Gonyor, 29, of Wilmington, DE, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice. He was presented in Tolland Superior Court in Rockville and will be extradited to Delaware.

Jesse James Bellefleur, 29, of 612 Crystal Lake Rd., Tolland, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice. Bellefleur was wanted for a violation of probation charge involving the sale of marijuana. He was held on a $150,000 bond and presented in Tolland Superior Court in Rockville on March 21.

Police were called to a residence on Courtland Road for a complaint of vandalism. A homeowner said his birdbath was damaged. Police are investigating.

March 23

A 37-year-old woman was taken to Rockville Hospital after she lost control over her vehicle on Cider Mill Road and struck a utility pole. Jude Stansbury of 94 Anderson St., Tolland, failed to negotiate a curve near Crandall Park. She was taken to the hospital by the Tolland ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.
