March 30
Police responded to a reported criminal trespass and larceny at 83 Gerber Drive, NESSTEEL, Co., according to police. Police report that a security camera captured a dark-colored pick up truck park next to a dumpster on March 28 around 3:14 a.m. Two men then jumped into the dumpster and stole scrap metal, police report. The case is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Troop C at 860-896-3200.
April 5
Tolland resident Gail Sheffield was involved in a car accident in Mansfield, when she struck a car that was slowing for a bus dropping off students, police report. No injuries were reported, and Sheffield's vehicle was towed from the scene, according to police.
