Tolland Police Blotter: March 9 - 16

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of March 16, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

March 10

Judith Aileen Baker, 46, of 12 Stein Road in Ellington was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, according to police. Police report that Baker drove to Troop C in Tolland to pick up an individual who had recently been arrested when she failed a series of field sobriety tests.

March 12

Julius Laboy, 22, of 14 Emerson Street in Wethersfield was charged with failure to display reflective number plates, reckless driving greater than 85 miles per hour, disobeying the signal of an officer and second-degree reckless endangerment, according to police. Police report that officers tried to stop a motorcycle near Exit 70 on I-84, when the motorcycle left the interstate. He then began traveling on I-84 westbound when police stopped him near Exit 69, police report.

Vy Nguyen, 19, of 30 Gibson Street, Apartment 1, Dorchester, MA was charged with reckless driving greater than 85 miles per hour and disobeying the signal of an officer, according to police. Police report that Nguyen was stopped on I-84 in Tolland.

March 13

Nicolas Smith, 18, of 139 Grant Hill Road in Tolland was charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief, according to police. Police report that Smith turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

Piotr Wnuk, 20, of 19 Fiddlehead Drive in Tolland was charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief, according to police. Police report that Wnuk turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

March 15

Susan Czajka, 51, of 445 Mile Hill Road in Tolland was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, police report. According to the police press release, Glastonbury Police Department reported that Czajka was possibly driving under the influence. Manchester Police Department also informed Troop C that Czajka was wanted for questioning regarding a domestic dispute in town, according to the release.

Police report that Czajka was seen on Route 190 in Union after she called 911 and informed them where she was. Police then administered field sobriety tests, which she failed, according to the release.
