Tolland Police Blotter: May 3-May 9
The following arrest and other police activity reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of May 10, 2013. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.
May 4
Joseph Hurley, 22, of 32D Harmon Dr. in Suffield, was arrested after a motor vehicle stop on Sugar Hill Road. He was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, was subjected to a series of field sobriety tests that he failed, and was arrested. Hurley was transported to Troop C in Tolland where he was charged with traveling unreasonably fast, operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, and failure to drive right. He was processed according to state police policy and released.
May 6
Darrick J. Eathorne, 22, of 368 Buff Cap Rd. in Tolland, was arrested after the victim and her friend arrived at Troop C to report that a verbal altercation had escalated into a minor physical altercation. No injuries were reported or visible. Eathorne was located and arrested without incident. He was charged with breach of peace.
May 8
Ryan Kieft, 31, of 4 McIntosh Cir. in Rocky Hill, was arrested after he was observed traveling southbound on Route 195 north of Route 32 in Tolland with a left rear taillight out. He was stopped and upon further investigation, he was taken into custody. Kieft was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended operator's license and having a rear taillight out.
