Tolland Police Blotter: Nov. 3 - Nov. 11

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of November 11, 2011. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

November 3

Police report that a car struck a vehicle parked at the Field Commons parking lot and later evaded the scene.

Police report that Wisconsin resident was traveling on Industrial Park Road W when he struck a lamp post off of the right shoulder on Gerber Scientific property. There were no injuries reported. Police report that the driver was issued a written warning for failure to drive right - wide load.

Police are investigating a burglary/larceny at 31 Hilltop Road.

November 4

Police responded to a two-car accident on Route 195 after the second car rear ended the first, which was driven by a Tolland minor. No injuries were reported from this accident. However, police also report that a third vehicle, trying to pass the previous car accident, was struck when the Tolland minor attempted to back up and collided with the passing car. No injuries were reported from this accident either. The cars from the first accident were towed from the scene. 

November 6

A Waterbury resident was traveling north on Route 195 in Tolland when a vehicle traveling south crossed into the opposite lane and struck the Waterbury resident's car. The second car fled the scene. The struck vehicle was towed, but no injuries were reported.

November 9

Police responded to a three-car accident on Route 30 near Sand Hill Road. A Manchester resident struck the car stopped directly in front of her, which caused that vehicle to also strike the car in front of it. No injuries were reported, although two of the cars were towed from the scene. Police report that the Mancester resident was found at fault for following too closely.

November 10

Christopher Perring, 38, of 99 Crystal Lake Road, was charged with risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct. He was released on $2,500 non-surety bond.
