Tolland Police Blotter: Oct. 12 - 19

The following arrest and other police activity reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of October 19, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

October 13

Marvin Yuen, 21, of 7504 Colonel Lindsay Drive in Falls Church, VA, was charged with reckless speeding, according to police. Police report that Yuen was clocked driving 112 mph in a 65 mph zone near exit 69 on I-84. 

October 14

Sharon Lee Condry, 45, of 650 Buff Cap Road in Tolland was charged with disorderly conduct, according to police. Bond was set at $500.

Saban Yilmaz, 52, of 172 Grant Hill Road in Tolland was charged with breach of peace, according to police. Bond was set at $500.

Colin Walker, 23, of  1 Three Lakes Drive in Stamford was charged with operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol and failure to drive right, according to police. Police report that Walker was driving on Route 74 in Tolland near Hilltop Drive when his car left the road, went up a steep embankment and struck a tree, causing the car to roll over. At the scene, Walker said that a deer had jumped in front of his car, police said.

The Tolland Fire Department transported Walker to Rockville Hospital, where he was evaluated and then subjected to a field sobriety test, which he failed, according to the release.

October 15

Vernon resident Victoria Shustock, 20, was killed after crashing into a telephone pole on Route 31, according to police. First responders pronounced Shustock dead on the scene, according to the police report. Read the complete story on Tolland Patch.
