Tolland Police Blotter: Oct. 26 - Nov. 2

The following arrest and other police activity reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of November 2, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

October 26

Police responded to a two-car accident on Patricia Drive after Hampton resident Ryan Mara struck the car of Tolland resident Paulette Belsito as Mara was attempting to make a left turn, police said. According to police, Mara was issued an infraction for failure to grant right of way. No injuries were reported.

Paul Kirmaier, 19, of 181 Cedarhurst Lane in Milford, was charged with operation of motor vehicle by minor having elevated blood alcohol content, failure to have tail lamps, drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by minor on public street and interfering with an officer: simple assault, according to police. Police said that Kirmaier was stopped on Route 195 near Rhodes Road. Bond was set at $1,000.

Michael Griffin, 41, of 268 Hartford Turnpike, E11, in Tolland was charged with disorderly conduct, according to police. Police said that a verbal argument between Griffin and a woman escalated, and Griffin pushed the woman with both of his hands. No injuries were reported. Bond was set at $2,500.


Police responded to a two-car accident at the entrance of Cross Farms on Rhodes Road after Tolland resident Natasha Brielmann rear-ended a car that was stopped on the road, police said. Both drivers were taken to Hartford Hospital for back and neck pain, police report.

October 29

Police responded to a one-car accident on Route 30 near Route 74 when Stafford Springs resident Raymond Young lost control of his car due to a strong wind gust and struck a tree and fence at 255 Tolland Stage Road, police report. According to police, Young was issued a written warning for driving too fast for the conditions.
