Tolland Police Blotter: Oct. 28 - Nov. 4

Nov. 1

Ashley M. Daly, 22, of 22 Emily Dr. in Vernon, was charged with driving under the influence, according to police. Police arrested Daly after her car crashed into a pole on Dockerel Road.

Nov. 2

Two Tolland residents were involved in a two-car accident on Anthony Road. Police report that Michael Kelly drove over the yellow lines to avoid a pedestrian when his car struck James Dickson's vehicle, who was driving in the opposite direction. No one was injured and neither vehicle was towed. Kelly was issued a written warning for failure to keep right, according to police.

Nov. 3

A Tolland resident was involved in an accident on near Doyle Road. Police report that Suzan Caplan was turning onto Route 30 when a Stafford Springs resident struck her car. Both vehicles received minor damage. The Stafford Springs resident was found at fault for failure to illuminate headlamps and failure to have proper brakes, according to police.

Nov. 4

Police responded to a single vehicle accident after an Enfield resident struck a pole after trying to avoid a deer on Gehring Road. The driver refused medical treamtment, according to police.
