Tolland Police Blotter: October 7-14

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of October 14, 2011. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

October 7

Police responded to a two-car accident on Route 195 in Tolland after a car rear-ended the vehicle in front of it. The driver of the first car was taken to Rockville Hospital for evaluation, and both cars were towed from the scene, according to police. The crash is still under investigation.

October 9

Police responded to a two-car accident on the Exit 69 ramp off of I-84 East. The cars collided at a low speeds due to a braking error, according to police. No injuries were reported.

October 12

Police were dispatched to Tolland High School after school administrators said they had conducted a search of a student and his vehicle, police said. According to police reports, a replica .40-caliber BB pistol and a marijuana pipe containing freshly burnt marijuana residue were discovered during the search. The 17-year-old youthful offender was arrested, according to police.

October 14

Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 31. A car driven by a minor was waiting to pull into a private driveway when a second car struck the first from behind, according to police. All parties denied medical treatment, and the first car was towed, due to damage. Police said that the driver of the second car was issued a written warning for following too close.
