Tolland Police Blotter: Sept. 20 - 28

The following arrest and other police activity reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of September 28, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

September 25

A 16-year-old student was charged with second-degree breach of peace and first-degree threatening after writing a bomb threat on a Tolland High School bathroom wall, according to police. 

September 26

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at an Anthony Road home between September 18 and September 24. Jewelry was taken from the residence, police said.

Craig Surber, 18, of 85 Tolland Green in Tolland was charged with four counts of sixth-degree larceny and failure to pay or plead, according to police. Police report that Surber turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Bond was set at $7,500.

A Tolland Middle School student was struck by a car while attempting to cross Old Cathole Road North on his walk home from school, police report. A Tolland minor was driving the car that struck the student, according to police. The child is at home and recovering, his family said in an email to Tolland Patch.
