Tolland Police Blotter: Sept. 7 - 14

The following arrest and other police activity reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of September 14, 2012. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

September 8

Peter Thompson, 65, of 195 Old Kings Highway in Hampton, CT was charged with reckless driving and operating under the influence of drugs/alcohol, according to police. Police stopped him near exit 68 on I-84 in Tolland, according to the release.

September 11

Nicholas Brown, 20, of 85 Kozley Road in Tolland was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy (felony- class A), according to police.

Stephen Brown, 25, of 85 Kozley Road in Tolland was charged with sixth-degree larceny, according to police.

Jason Shackway, 18, of 31 Torry Road in Tolland was charged with conspiracy (misdemeanor C) and illegal possession of a narcotic, according to police.

According to the police report, Shackway and Nicholas and Stephen Brown were charged after stealing approximately $220 in cash from the register at Tolland Citgo. Police said that Shackway and Nicholas distracted the attendant while Stephen Brown went inside and took the money. Shackway was found to be in possession of 15 blue-colored envelopes containing a white powdery substance that tested positive for heroin, according to police.

September 13

A pink Apple iPod nano and $75 in spare change were stolen from an unlocked car on Grahaber Road between 7:30 p.m. and 8:10 a.m., according to police. The case is under investigation.
