Tolland Police Blotter: September 23 - 30

September 23
Tolland resident Steven Stanley was involved in an accident on Route 195. Stanley was pulling out of a business parking lot, when he lost control of his car and stuck a Manchester resident’s car, according to police. The report says that Stanley was given summons for traveling too fast for the conditions and failing to have insurance. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to another accident on Route 195 near the on ramp to I-84 westbound. A Killingworth resident struck a Willington resident's car, according to police. The driver was issued a warning for following too closely. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a one-vehicle accident in Tolland when Rhode Island resident Daniel Lopes failed to stop at the intersection of Route 74 coming off the Exit 69 off ramp from I-84. Police report that Lopes collided with a chain link fence, but no injuries were reported.
Tolland resident Robin Barkoski was involved in a car accident in Mansfield. Barkoski was traveling on Route 32, approaching Route 44, when another car sideswiped the vehicle and evaded the scene, driving towards Coventry, according to police. The make and model of the evading vehicle is unknown.
September 29
Tolland resident Ian Gagnon was involved in a two-car accident on Buff Cap Road. Police report that Stafford Springs resident Sarah Herring struck the rear end of Gagnon’s vehicle at the intersection of Buff Cap Road and Plains Road. Herring was issued a warning for following too closely, according to police. No injuries were reported.
Police responded to a two-car accident on I-84 in Tolland. A West Hartford resident was traveling in the right lane of the highway, almost parallel with Vermont resident Jeremy Stonier, who police say was traveling in the center lane. When Stonier attempted to change lanes, police report that his vehicle scratched the other. No injuries were reported. Police say that Stonier was issued a written warning for failure to drive in the proper lane.
