Tolland Resident Troopers Handle More than 1,400 Calls in July

The monthly report has been released.

The Tolland resident state trooper's office received 1,437 calls for service, according to its monthly report to Town Manager Steven Werbner. 

Here are the highlights: 

Criminal investigations totaled 70.

They include: 

• Burglaries - 2
• Larcenies - 1 
• Weapons violations - 2 
• Sex offenses - 1 
• Narcotics - 5
• DUI - 4
• Medical assists - 9
• Untimely deaths - 1

In terms of motor vehicle cases. there were 571 cases: 

• 457 summonses were issued
• 114 warnings were given out 

Resident troopers investigated 15 traffic accidents: 

• None involved injuries
• There was a single DUI-related crash

Other highlights include: 

• Alarm responses - 59
• Suspicious incidents - 12
• Trespassing - 1
• Animal problems - 2
• Missing person/then located - 2
• Vehicle fires - 2
• Abandoned vehicles - 2
• Domestic disputes - 3
• Fingerprint applicants - 15
• Patrol checks - 311
• Canine tracks - 9
• Assisting citizens - 44
• Assisting other agencies - 13
• OSHA reports - 1
• Pistol permits issued - 30
