Update, 2:40 p.m.:
The following roads have reopened:
- Reed Road - one lane at Loehr Road
- Baxter Street
- Woodland Road - open but no power yet. CL&P is working on it, according to the town public works department.
According to the CL&P website, there are currently 156, or 2 percent, of customers without power in Tolland.
These three messages were sent to residents via the town's and the school's emergency call service this morning to the areas are affected, but just in case you travel down these roads or are responsible for picking up a child along one of the school bus routes Tolland Patch wanted to share the information:
Bus Change Partridge Lane for Sept. 19
No school bus pick-up on Partridge Lane this morning because of downed wire at Patridge Lane and Woodland Street. The bus will pick-up Partridge Lane students at Grant Hill and Partridge Lane.
Bus Change Baxter Street for Sept. 19
Baxter Street is closed at 93 Baxter St. between Forest Lane and
Anderson Road. The road is impassable because of downed tree and wires. School bus pick-up will be at Anderson Road and Forest Lane. Adjust plans accordingly.
Road Closure Loehr and Reed Roads for Sept. 19
Road closure intersection of Loehr and Reed roads. Road closed from Garnet Ridge to Timber Trail. Anticipate bus delays. School bus pick up for closed section of Reed Road will be at Garnet Ridge and Timber Trail. Loehr Road will have small van pick up from Ridge Road to Reed Road. Adjust plans accordingly.
Tolland Patch will update the afternoon school bus pick up locations as they become available.
