Old Post Road Shed Fire Under Investigation

The fire marshal and state police are investigating a shed fire that occurred  on Old Post Road early Friday morning, according to Fire Chief and Public Safety Director John Littell.

Littell said that the detached structure was completely engulfed in flames when Assistant Public Safety Director Doug Racicot first arrived on the scene. While firefighters were able to save the shed, Littell said that the building inspector has deemed the structure to be unsafe.

A number of new, hardwood planks that the property owners were storing inside the shed should be salvageable, Littell said.
