Mansfield 

Dec. 23

Between 7:40 and 8 p.m., a blue sedan was "broken into" while parked and unlocked in front of Applebee's at the East Brook Mall, state police said.  

Items were taken from the car, state police said. Anyone with information about the case can call state police at 860-896-3222, ext. 8088.
 
Dec. 28

John Webster, 61, of 125 Fern Rd., Mansfield, was charged with second-degree failure to appear at 2:15 p.m., state police said.

An active re-arrest warrant had been issued for him, state police said.

Dec. 29

Carl Michaud, 45, of 177 Nathan Hale Rd., Coventry, was charged with speeding, DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane at 1:26 a.m., state police said.

He was observed driving erratically on Route 32, state police said.



At 9:03 p.m., on North Frontage Road, Luis Rivera, 25, was charged with driving without a license/registration, unsafe backing and criminal impersonation, state police said.

He was charged as part of a motor vehicle stop, state police said.

Vernon

Dec. 27

Gavin John Sheehan, 36, of Stafford, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane at 11:49 p.m., on Route 31, state police said.

He was stopped by state police and failed a series of field sobriety tests, according to a report. 

Dec. 29

At 1:10 a.m., Jarred Arnold, 43, of Bloomfield, was charged with DUI and reckless driving , state police said.

He was stropped on Interstate-84 and failed a series of field sobriety tests, state police said.

Jan. 1

At 1:34 a.m., Raul Cruz, 36, of New Britain, was charged with insurance and license/registration violations, reckless driving, DUI and a lane violation, state police said. 

He was observed traveling 93 mph in a posted 65 mph zone, state police said. 

Cruz exited the highway in an erratic manner near exit 66 and was stopped on S. Frontage Road, state police said. 

Tolland

Dec. 27

Brandon Behrens, 27, was charged with speeding and DUI at 12:49 a.m., state police said. 

He was observed driving erratically on Route 195, state police said.

Dec. 28


Spencer Palozej, 25, of 93 Coburn Rd., Tolland, was charged with DUI at 5:14 p.m., state police said.

Troopers responded to the rear of the Troop C barracks after someone had driven into the rear parking area, state police said. Troopers spoke to Palozej and he then failed a series of sobriety tests, state police said.

Jan. 1

Brittany Bandani, 25, of 289 Simsbury Rd., West Hartford, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment, state police said. 

A trooper conducting a patrol check at the xit 68 commuter lot off I-84 observed Bandani intentionally strike another occupied vehicle with her vehicle, according to an arrest report. The other car sustained minor damage, state police said.
 
No injuries were reported. 



Gildeny Suarez, 35, was observed driving erratically on Route 195 at 3:53 a.m., state police said, near Cider Mill Road. 

He was stopped and charged with DUI and and a lane violation, state police said. 



At 1:24 a.m., Eric Dennis Sylvan, 21, of 56 Hidden Valley Rd., was charged with DUI, speeding and failure to drive right, state police said. 
He was stopped on Old Post Road, state police said.

Stafford

Dec. 27

Zachary Ramsdell, 25, of 40 Haynes St., Enfield, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 1 p.m. at Johnson Memorial Hospital, state police said.

Toopers were called to JMH at 12:36 a.m. after staffers complained about a patient refusing to leave after being discharged, state police said. Ramsdell was then arrested, state police said.

Dec. 30

Lalanina King, 35, of 36 Dunay Rd., Stafford, was charged with the sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics and a tinted glass violation at 8:44 p.m., state police said.

A trooper noticed a suspicious vehicle on River Road at the Sunoco station and pulled the car over at the traffic circle near routes 32 and 190, according to a report. 

King was in possession of 90 bags of Heroin, state police said.

Ellington

Dec. 29

Joseph Lachance, 20, of 3 Gloria Lane, Ellington, was charged with interfering and disorderly conduct at 2:38 a.m., state police said.

State police said they received a 911 call from his parents reporting that Lachance was drunk and trying to fight others. A trooper arrived and encountered Lachance on the porch and Lachance disregarded verbal commands and was combative toward the trooper, state police said.

He was then arrested, state police said.
