Troop C Police Blotter — Arrests Ending Oct. 16, 2013

The latest arrests relating to Ellington, Somers and other surrounding towns.

Arrest information is furnished by the State Police Troop C barracks and does not indicate a conviction. 

Ellington


Oct. 14

Joshua Schneider, 29, 10 Keeney St., Ellington, was charged with driving under the influence, operating a motor vehicle with a refused license, a failure to drive in the proper lane and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said he was caught driving erratically southbound on Burbank Road between Somers and Ellington on Oct. 14. Schneider was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Oct. 28.

Enfield

Oct. 15

Reinaldo Gonzalez, 46, 25 Castle St., New Haven, was charged with being a fugitive from justice after police said he was located on Bilton Road in Enfield on Oct. 15. Gonzalez was wanted by court officials in connection to a previous case. He was held on a $100,000 bond and was taken to Osborn Correctional Institute.

Somers

Oct. 16

Grant C. Watrous, 37, 19 Turnpike Road, Somers, was charged with criminal possession of a pistol on Oct. 16 after police said he turned himself in to the state police after learning there was a a warrant from the Statewide Fire Arms Trafficking Task Force. Watrous was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court on Oct. 22.

Mansfield

Oct. 15

James C. Noller, 18, of 1308 Stafford Road in Storrs, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after police said they responded to a disturbance in Mansfield on Oct. 15 around 4:20 p.m. Noller was held on a $2,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Oct. 16.

Oct. 16

Christopher King, 21, 1717 Valley St., Willimantic, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and a breach of peace after police said he was caught stealing cold medicine from the Big Y on Storrs Road in Mansfield on Oct. 16 around 2:30 p.m. King was held on a $2,500 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Oct. 17.
