Troop C Police Blotter: Arrests Ending Jan. 23

Recent arrests with ties to Ellington and Somers.

Tolland

Jan. 22

State police are investigating the theft of a large amount of scrap metal stolen from Anderson Automotive, 59 Merrow Road in Tolland, between the hours of 10 p.m. and Jan. 21 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 22. The incident occurred numerous times in the past year, police said. Anyone with information regarding this is asked to contact Trooper Kaelberer at 860-896-3200 ext. 8071.

Jan. 23

Michael Gauntlett, 35, and Kyle Ledonne, 33, were both arrested after responded to their home at 24 Willie Circle in Tolland for a report of a threatening text message Ledonne sent to Gauntlett. After troopers left the scene to go arrest Ledonne for the charge of threatening, Gauntlett called Ledonne to warn him that troopers were coming to arrest him. Police charged Gauntlett with interfering with an officer. Both were held on $1,000 bonds. Gauntlett is due in Rockville Superior Court on Feb. 11 and Ledonne is due in the same court on Jan. 24.

Ellington

Jan. 22

Bryan G. Addicott, 49, and Roderick Addicott, 50, of 38 Crystal Lake Road, were both charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to their home for a report of a domestic violence incident on Jan. 22. Bryan Addicott was also charged with third-degree assault. He was held on a $5,000 bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 22. Roderick Addicott is due in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 23.

Jan. 23

Eric Johnson, 33, 27 Alice St., Springfield, Mass., was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, two counts of fifth-degree larceny and two counts of sixth-degree larceny stemming from a warrant issued by Rockville Superior Court. According to police the victims were three different Ellington residents on Wells Road and Brookfield Drive and the incidents took place around June 7, 2013. Johnson was brought to Connecticut and held on a $5,000 due to the above charges. He was turned back over to the state judicial marshals to be presented in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 23.

Somers

Jan. 22

David M. Eldridge, 29, 455 Turnpike Road, Somers, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and not having narcotics in the proper container after police discovered the narcotics during an investigation at his home on Jan. 22. He was also charged with disorderly in connection with an alleged fight at his home. He was held on a total $3,000 non-surety bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 3.



David Nieves, 30, 63 Brook St., New Britain, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Jan. 22. He is due in Rockville Superior Court on Jan. 24.

Mansfield

Jan. 21

Christopher J. Richard, 22, 14 Highland St., Mansfield Center, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Jan. 21 after he turned himself in to police after learning there was a warrant for his arrest. He was held on a $250 bond and is due in Danielson Superior Court.



Stacey Richardson, 27, 209 Main St., Baltic, was charged with operating under the influence, a failure to drive right, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license a failure to respond to a payable violation on Jan. 22. Richardson is due in Rockville Superior Court on Feb. 11.



State police responded to an attempted burglary of a home on Stafford Road in Mansfield, filed on Jan. 21 at 7:54 p.m. Nothing was taken from the home however it remains under investigation.



Police are investigating a residential burglary that occurred on Jude Lane in Mansfield. Someone broke in and stole items from inside a home. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed this are asked to contact Trooper Hernandez-Garcia at 860-896-3200 ext. 8030.

Jan. 22

Police were dispatched to the Wings over Storrs restaurant, located at 153 North Eagleville Road in Mansfield for a report of a stolen rug on Jan. 22 around 4:07 p.m. The rug was recovered and police are developing suspects in the case.

Willington

Jan. 22

Craig J. Bernal, 34, 112 Shaded Glen Court, Owing Mills, Md., was charged with operating under the influence after police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of routes 74 and 32 in Willington on Jan. 22. Police later determined it was actually just a disabled motor vehicle at the intersection. Police spoke to the operator, Bernal, whom they determined was under the influence. He was taken into custody and held on a  $2,500 bond. Bernal is due in Rockville Superior Court on Feb. 10.
