A tractor-trailer crash on Interstate-84 early Tuesday morning sent public safety officials hustling to get the highway in order before the peak morning rush hour.
Tolland Public Safety Supervisor John Littell said the tractor-trailer jackknifed into the Jersey barrier between exits 67 and 68 on Interstate 84 eastbound just before the Mountain Spring overpass in Tolland. The initial reports came in at 4:50 a.m.
No injuries or fuel spills were reported, but the crash forced officials to shut down the high-speed lane, Littell said.
A heavy duty wrecker company and the state Department of Transportation were called to rather scene.
According to DOT traffic maps and cameras, vehicles were traveling freely at 7:30 a.m.
