Two Dogs Euthanized After Tolland Attack

Tolland Animal Control made the decision after completing its investigation into the Aug. 28 pit bull attack at Del-Aire Campground.

Two dogs were euthanized Friday, after Tolland Animal Control wrapped up its investigation of a on Aug. 28.

According to a press release sent to Tolland Patch, a second dog present during the attack was secured with the first after getting a statement from the victim, Victoria Brocuglio, who suffered serious bite wounds to her arms and face.

Public Safety Director and Fire Chief John Littell said that the second dog bit the victim in a previous, unrelated attack, according to Brocuglio's statement.

After the investigation was completed, it was determined that both dogs were to be euthanized, the release said. Officials met with the owners, who both signed disposal orders, according to the release.
