Baker Nominated For Town Council Vacancy

The Republican Town Committee has chosen local lawyer George Baker to fill the open seat on the Town Council.

In a memo to Town Clerk Meg Devito, Republican Town Committee Chairwoman Laura Gregory Roberts formally submitted the recommendation of Baker. The council is scheduled to discuss and vote on the appointment at its Tuesday meeting.

The meeting sis scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Hicks Municipal Center.

Baker has served as probate judge and runs the Glastonbury-based George A. Baker law firm.
