Tolland's 300th Anniversary Celebration‏ - Special Meeting

An enthusiastic group of Tolland residents are getting organized to celebrate the Town’s 300th Anniversary in May 2015, and it needs your ideas and help.

The Town's Permanent Celebration Committee, which is leading the Tolland 300 planning effort, will hold a community forum on March 24, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the Tolland High School cafeteria to brainstorm about ways to honor the Town’s history on its 300th Anniversary.

The committee is seeking volunteers from among Tolland’s residents, businesses, the Tolland Historical Society, its school system and its many active civic organizations to serve on a 25-member planning committee or on a variety of anniversary sub-committees.

Those groups will also be asked to support the committee’s effort by sponsoring events with the 300th anniversary theme in the next few years.

For more information or to RSVP for the forum, call committee secretary Kate Farrish at 860-871-8089 or e-mail her at katefarrish@live.com.
