Fresh Off the Primary, Murphy Goes on the Attack

The newly-minted Democratic nominee for Connecticut's open U.S. Senate seat has wasted no time in attacking his opponent.

And so it begins.

This election cycle promises to be a contentious one in the race for the open U.S. Senate seat as Chris Murphy, fresh off his primary win Tuesday night, began immediately campaigning against his Republican opponent, Linda McMahon.

According to the Connecticut Mirror, shortly after accepting the win in the primary on Tuesday night Murphy launched into a critique of McMahon, suggesting that as a multi-millionaire businesswoman she is out of touch with most of her would-be constituents.

"I've spent the last 10 years fighting for that out-of-work dad who's got to get back to work, for that hungry kid who just wants three meals a day, for that homeless veteran who wants a roof over his head," the Mirror quoted Murphy from his victory speech.

This is McMahon's second bid to win a seat in the Senate. She lost to Democrat Richard Blumenthal two years after a long, expensive and contentious campaign. The 2012 race with Murphy also promises to be highly charged and expensive.

Murphy, who was the endorsed Democratic Senate candidate, easily fended off a challenge from Susan Bysciewicz, the former secretary of the state, in Tuesday's primary. McMahon, the Republican-endorsed candidate for the Senate race, handily defeated a challenge by former 4th District Congressman Chris Shays.

I received a call today from McMahon's campaign attacking Murphy. I guess Linda is hard at work too. Perhaps the author of this article should look a little further and deeper than a Democrat source when she writes her articles. This article served no purpose than to give Murphy a vehicle to diss McMahon. A balanced article would have sought input from McMahon. If the reporter had, she certainly would have got some. Perhaps that's the agenda, not to give equal time.

"2016: Obama's America" is now the #1 box office movie in the U.S.! Don't miss it folks. It might be a "limited engagement," but is showing this weekend at the theaters found in this link: http://www.2016themovie.com/theaters/?state=CT We saw it last night--and the movie is riveting! I knew much of what is in it from reading Dinesh D'Souza's book "The Roots of Obama's Rage." In "2016: Obama's America" you will see not only Obama's unique background revealed, and his mentoring by communists and other radicals, but how he USED Americans' desire for fairness and to prove they were not racist, to hoodwink them into electing him to the most powerful office in the world. D'Souza also has a new book out: "Obama's America: Unmaking the American Dream." "America as we know it—wealthy, powerful, assertive—is not what Obama wants. "He wants a smaller America, a poorer America, an America unable to exert its will, an America happy to be one power among many, an America in decline so that other nations might rise—all in the name of global fairness. To Obama, the hated 'one percent' isn’t just wealthy Americans; it is America itself. In Obama’s view, America needs to be taken down a notch."... http://www.dineshdsouza.com/books/obamas-america/ Btw, Obama has been endorsed by the Communist Party USA.
