Health Coalition Hosting Countywide Public Health Forum

The Tolland County forum is slated for Sept. 10 in Vernon.

A broad coalition led by the Connecticut Department of Public Health wants to know what health issues are most important top residents. 
 
And the coalition, in an effort to develop a plan "to help Connecticut residents become healthier by 2020," is conducting s series of public forums in each of Connecticut’s eight counties.

Experts will share key information about the state population’s health, and then seek input on what issues and problems affect each community’s health, and how a community can become a healthier place to live.

All Connecticut residents are invited, including state, local and tribal government agencies, academic institutions, businesses, health care providers, and community, recreational, philanthropic, and faith-based organizations.

All forums are scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. and registration begins at 5:30.  p.m. Registration is requested, but walk-ins are welcome.

The Tolland County forum is slated for Sept. 10, at the Rockville High School auditorium in Vernon.
