The Local Housing Rehab Loan Program is in Full Swing

The federal program has eligibility requirements.

A federal program through which income-eligible homeowners can obtain housing rehabilitation loans is again being funded in town.
 
The Tolland Human Services Department has been awarded funding from the Department of Economic and Community Development Small Cities Block Grant Program, Town Manger Steven Werbner said in his latest report to the Town Council. 

The Tolland Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program provides zero percent interest loans to eligible residents for home repair projects that include: 

• Septic systems.
• Well repair.
• Roofing and siding.
• Structural work.
• Deficiencies.
• Replacement windows.
• Insulation.
• ADA improvements.
• Plumbing.
• Electrical.
• Heating.

To be eligible, yearly gross income must not exceed:
• 1 family member - $45.500.
• 2 family members - $52,000.
• 3 family members - $58,500.
• 4 family members - $65,000.
• 5 family members - $70,200.
• 6 family members - $75,400.
• 7 Family members - $80,600. 
• 8 family members - $85,800.
