Tolland Council Has Several Special Meetings on Tap

The agendas are posted at the Hicks Center.

Several special meetings have been called for late November and early December:

• The Town Council has scheduled a walk-through of the Parker Memorial School building for 7 p.m. on Nov. 26. There is no public comment session listed on the agenda. It is not required for a special meeting. 

• The Town Council, Economic Development Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission and the Tolland Economic and Community Development Corporation have scheduled a special meeting for Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Hicks Municipal Center. There is one item on the agenda - "Discussion of how to encourage additional development in designated areas." There is no public comment session listed on the agenda. It is not required for a special meeting. 

• The Board of Education and Town Council have scheduled a special joint meeting for 7 p.m. on Dec. 3. There is one agenda item - "Discussion of Issues of Mutual Concern." Such meetings had been a topic stressed throughout the campaign season. There is no public comment session listed on the agenda. It is not required for a special meeting.

• The Town Council is slated to discuss its goals for the upcoming term on  Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hicks Center. 

• A Town Council Workshop has been scheduled for Dec.5 at 6 p.m. at the Hicks Center. The only listed agenda item is - "Presentation by town departments on responsibilities and significant initiatives."
