Tolland Public Safety Apologizes for Late Tolland Alert Broadcast

Assistant Public Safety Director Doug Racicot said that the department is working with its vendor, Everbridge, to fix the issue.

Assistant Public Safety Director Doug Racicot apologized for any inconvenience caused by a Tolland Alert broadcast that reached some Tolland residents late Sunday evening.

Racicot said in an email to Tolland Patch that the alert about Monday night's vigil for Newtown victims was supposed to go out around 4 p.m. Sunday, but was delayed. 

The public safety department is working with Everbridge, the Tolland Alert vendor, to fix the problem.
