Tolland Residents Can Pay Taxes in Person Until Jan. 31

Although the tax deadline is Friday, Feb. 1, town hall is closed on Fridays. Taxes can still be postmarked by Feb. 1 and be on time.

Tolland residents wanting to pay their taxes in person should plan to stop by town hall by Thursday, Jan. 31 at the absolute latest.

Collector of Revenue Linda Calabrese explained that while taxes are not due until Feb. 1, in-person payment will be not possible on Friday, since town hall is only open Monday through Thursday. Town hall is open until 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

However, she added that Tolland residents can still postmark their taxes by Friday, Feb. 1 and avoid accumulating interest. Taxes can also be submitted in the drop box next to town hall's back entrance until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, Calabrese added.
