Board of Education Members' Last Night

It was a bittersweet night at the Board of Education’s meeting this evening. This was the last scheduled meeting for board members Diane Clokey and Judy Grabowicz. They have decided it was time for them to go in another direction.  What a loss to the board and this community. 

Diane was the Chairperson for the Policy Committee and Judy ran the Facilities and Finance Committee. Both of these fine individuals brought a passion and a professionalism that will not soon be repeated. 

Diane and Judy were elected to the board four years ago. The list of things they have accomplished or been a part of has saved Tolland taxpayers money and have improved the way the schools function in a myriad of ways.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank these two citizens of Tolland and say that Tolland and its school system is a better place directly because of their contributions. Did I as the Chairman of the Board agree with them all of the time? No way. Would I serve with them again, absolutely. I will personally miss both of them, and I’m sorry to see them go.
