A "COMMON SENSE" CANDIDATE FOR TOWN COUNCIL

Republican Candidate for Town Council promises "straight honest questions and straight honest answers."

After an unprecedented week, Tuesday's elections have become secondary to many of us.  This is not surprising.  Our home remains without power but, most important, our two sons & their wives & 4 small children have had power restored to their Coventry homes.  It has been an inconvenience for those of us who do not have a generator, have had no access to the internet or land phone & who needed to care for pets, in our case, 2 bewildered young Golden Labradors.

We remain healthy, live in a town that is providing water & shelter if needed & we are strong New Englanders who will survive this jog in the road.

My simple request today is that you get out to vote tomorrow & vote for the candidate who will put Tolland Citizens First.  Any of you who know my qualifications know that I have lived in Tolland since 1969 and I know my town well.  My educational background in accounting & finance speaks for itself.  My military service as a 1st. Lt. in the Massachusetts & Connecticut Army National Guard speaks for itself.

As a small business owner for 37 years, I am aware of the good & the bad of running a successful business operation.

I may be out-spoken at times as many of you know, but I made the effort to attend every Town Council meeting for more than four years after a long day of work at my own struggling small business.  At every Council meeting, I listened, contributed ideas, made friends & a few enemies along the way.  Not everyone can get through to a "hard-headed" Italian like me.

Running a small business has left little personal time for sports except for those that concerned our children, but I don't feel I have missed anything.  My life is good.  Our three children grew up in a family that worked together, dined together, attended church together & are there for each other at all times.

Am I perfect?  Absolutely not!  Do I have common sense?  Absolutely!

I ask that you give me the opportunity to help Tolland become the BEST small town in America.  I ask that you consider my qualifications and measure them against all other candidates for Tolland Town Council.

I ask that you please place your important vote tomorrow for Sam Belsito, Jr.

I pledge to always give "straight honest questions and straight honest answers!"
