A Run for Tolland Town Council

A RUN FOR TOLLAND TOWN COUNCIL

I am an honest and truthful candidate running for the Tolland Town Council on the Republican ticket. My wife Paulette and I have resided in Tolland for 42 years. I guess you would say we are here to stay.  

Our three children were educated in Tolland’s public schools. The Tolland education system was the basis for their career success. If elected, I will support the Tolland school system.

Over the last 4 years, I attended most every Town Council meeting along with many Tolland Board of Education meetings. My town participation includes community conversation meetings and committees for both the Board of Education and local government. 

I don’t profess to know everything, and I never quit. I don’t run from responsibility, and I am not afraid to admit a mistake. I will speak out on issues and get to the bottom of why things happen. My fundamental guide line is to use logic and common sense in every decision, never taking anything at face value.  

The town of Tolland is reaching a crossroads in expanding the town government and consistently increasing spending through bonding. Spending beyond our town means needs to be curbed. It is time to make the town more efficient.

I am not retired, and have owned a successful Vernon retail business for 37 years.  I do have the necessary time needed to be involved with Town Council agendas and duties. I would appreciate your vote. It’s time for a change.

Above all, I pledge not to make any decisions that will harm Tolland Citizens and I will always put Tolland Citizens First.
