Brief Lockdown at Tolland High School on Tuesday

Buses were able to leave campus on time.

Tolland High School briefly went into lockdown mode on Tuesday afternoon.

State police did not pinpoint the exact time, but did say at about 1:45 p.m. that troopers were still on campus and had been there for a short while.

A mother of a student said she was told that threatening phone calls were made. State police said there was "no imminent danger" to the school.

A mom said that students were released from the lockdown at about 2 p.m. after receiving an update from her daughter.

A town official said buses were rolling shortly afterward. A alert message to parents said buses were running about 15 minutes late.

No official information was available from state police or local education officials.
